How to get there: Go to Pagudpud to get to Barangay Balaoi (you may refer to the blog post "Pagudpud Ilocos Norte" for info. on how to get to Pagudpud if you're coming from Manila. From main Barangay Pagudpud, you may hire a traysi to take you to Barangay Balaoi - travel time is roughly 30 mins. and don't worry there's no such thing as getting stuck in traffic on your way to Balaoi since traysi is the 2nd mode of transportation in Pagudpud next to bus.
Okay, so let's get started with the photos then...
Once you get to Barangay Balaoi, the drop of f point will be the Barangay's main entrance to Kabigan falls. We paid 100 (good for 2 and inclusive of tour guide) for the entrance fee. |
There would be a 30-minute hike to get to the falls - note that it can take up to an hour depending on how fast you walk. Wear your hiking shoes, less clothing, bring a towel, a bottle of water, extra clothing and a camera to capture the moment. |
A 2 km-walk passing streams of water - we mean, cold water. | |
"Malapit na tyo?"
If you feel a slight change in temperature with a sudden breeze of cool
air around you, it only means one thing - you're just a few walks away
from Kabigan falls. |
Clear, fresh and freezing cold water. |
You may bring food if you want and have your guide cook it for you while you enjoy your time swimming in the freezing cold water of Kabigan falls. |
Again, this is fresh water and by fresh we mean you can
drink the water straight from the falls. Just like we did! It's like
water from the fridge! |
Reward yourself for making it through that 30-minute hike! Don't miss the chance for a swim. |
